Customer Rating: Summary: Brilliant game Comment: Boom Blox is a great game to play whether on your own or in 'Party mode' with friends. There are over 300 levels and a feature where you can create your own. You can choose from a range of different types of game from the familiar Jenga-style game where you pull blocks out and hope you don't topple the tower to a game where you throw balls at towers to knock points off to another where you point the Wii remote and blast blocks out of the sky. The cover does not do justice to the game. We have all enjoyed it and so much so I bought it for my nephew for christmas. All ages can enjoy and we love the way it can be competitive or non. Comment: Boom Blox (Wii) This is a great game if you're looking for good solid family entertainment, by turns funny, intriguing, and frustrating, with training levels to get you familiar with the various techniques you need to employ, a single player mode to log your progress through the game and best of all a multi-player mode, co-operative, (like that's going to happen!) or competitive. Competitive is where this game really scores for me, up to four players and none of the games are serious, whether you're pulling blocks from giant 'Jenga' towers, or smashing down your opponents building block castles with hurled bowling balls (or many, many, more similar silly challenges), it's just plain fun. Find out how competitive your other half really is! It's one of those games that will pall after a while, but leave it a few weeks and then give your partner a nudge one evening and challenge them. In my experience they'll come out fighting and you'll be wondering how the heck it got to be 3:00 AM. There is a big competitive element and you do need a steady hand, so younger children can be frustrated quickly, but for kids over eight this is the business. More Reviews
