DVD Player is constructed quite well, very sturdy and elegant looking, though DVD lid is
a little on the flimsy side.

Picture quality is not bad, though not as sharp as claimed. You will
only realise this when the portable DVD player is plugged into an external TV.

Plays all region
DVDs, VCDs including copies well.

When connecting the portable DVD player to an external device
such as a TV/Plasma/Projector, the picture quality is very poor (low contrast, brightness and
increased colour), unless you use the s-video output for which you need an s-video input on your
TV/Projector/Plasma. I have messed around with all the settings and tried various devices (TV,
Projector and Plasma) and therefore believe this is a genuine defect because as soon as you plug the
video out lead into an external device, the picture quality on the portable DVD player too also
deteriorates. Also there should never be that much difference between composite and s-video output.
Again this is only the case with the composite video out and not the s-video output.

Using the DVD
player as a monitor for an external device such as camera or another DVD player works fine.

TV
picture on the player is good if you don't use the aerial provided, connection via another external
aerial (portable or larger) or cable is much much better.

MP3 and JPEG picture playback is good,
plays multi session/unfinalised discs well, but only from CDs. MP3 and JPEG playback from DVDs is
abit dodgy i.e. sometimes you select a particular track name to play and it plays another!! This may
be because the player can't cope with the number of MP3s/JPEGs a DVD can hold.

The 300 Games
feature is OK. Its only 8bit so the graphics are a bit ancient but nevertheless quite amusing.
Playstation style joysticks are nice.

Battery life is good, over 2.5hrs tested when playing DVDs.
Battery life is vastly increased when playing MP3s, CDs, and or turning off the LCD display.

The
player is very easy to use, although reading the manual first is highly recommended. The English in
the manual could be written abit better, but who am I to complain!!

DVD player is well packaged
and the accessories provided are good i.e. car charger, various audio video leads, battery,
joysticks, aerial.

Remote control is very nice; small and thin. Has loads of features and settings
for the more advanced user e.g. picture size, playback speed, other audio video settings and loads
more.

Summary: If you are looking to use this as a standalone piece of equipment with loads of
features then it is great. No other portable DVD player on the market offers as many great features
such as an in built TV, MP3, JPEG, 2 player Games Console, Monitor, Multi-region etc all packed into
one item. Fantastic for people who travel and kids on journeys.

For me the biggest drawback on
purchasing this item is the poor picture quality achieved when connecting the player to an external
device such as a TV/Plasma/Projector using the component (RCA) output.

I don't have a real rating
for this product as it really depends on your requirements.
