Replced my NOXON 2 with PURE EVOKE FLOW
Comment:
I purchased the Pure Evoke as a replacement for my Noxon 2. I use the Evoke overseas to listen to BBC Four, NPR and Podcasts.
The sound is good, almost as good as the Noxon. The Evoke has more features (DAB/FM/Listen Again) that the Noxon. Pure's server "The Lounge" seems to be much more reliable than Noxon's server but slower to start playing the selected station/podcast. The Noxon would very very often have problems connecting to the Noxon server and podcasts would often stop before the podcast had ended.
I purchased the Pure Remote Control and find it much better than trying to operate the Evoke directly with the touch sensitive buttons. The remote operates with radio frequency which means do do not have to point the remote at the Evoke (much better than IR Remotes). Pure realy should include the remote as standard with the Evoke.
I was disappointed that the wake-up feature can only use DAB or Alarm, but not internet station. Maybe, it could be added in a future firmware upgrade.
The Evoke I purchased was a factory refurbished unit from Brunswell UK. It works perfectly and looks just as new.

French connection
Comment:
We recently purchased a Pure Evoke internet radio for our daughter who now lives in south eastern France and enjoys listening to the BBC via the internet. On our visits we had noticed that the laptop she was using to listen through regularly, and very irritatingly, dropped the connection, and placing it in the optimum position made the computer vulnerable to our highly inquisitive granddaughter.
The radio was simplicity itself to set up following the online instructions and has improved the listening capability and pleasure of our daughter immeasurably.
I tested the radio in every room in the house and even in the furthest reaches of the garden and it never lost connection once.
The sound is impressive and is not "tinny" or thin in the slightest.
My only slight criticism is the awkward connection for the battery pack, although I suspect that this was more to my "beefy" fingers as my daughter succeeded at her first attempt. So be prepared and either have a female or a child available to assist in this task, unless you have pianists' fingers!
An added bonus was that our daughter was also able to tune into about thirteen DAB stations, some French some Swiss, broadcasting in her area.
If you are thinking of buying an internet radio I would have no hesitation whatsover in recommending the Pure Evoke and the price on Amazon for the raio and battery pack was the best around.

Great value for money
Comment:
I have bought the Evoke Flow after much research and reading reviews and is very satisfied with it. It was very easy to connect and does what it says it is suppose to do. Although the menu can be a bit confusing, it is easy to figure it out after a couple of go's.
Will recommend this product to anybody looking to by an internet radio.

Unreliable, Bad manufacturing quality control
Comment:
was originally bought for christmas It had very good sound, dab worked very good, internet radio very good, changing between internet and dab all controls jammed and locked regularly, the only way to reset the radio was to disconnect the battery which is very difficult to do. The radio was on for a few hours on battery power when suddenly the radio display switched off, 15 minutes later the radio switched off, reconnected the power lead, radio worked at very low distorted volume with no display, that was the end of the evoke flow. It was replaced by amazon with a new evoke flow, sound quality was not as good and dab signal quality was bad breaking up on all stations, switching between internet and dab regularly jammed and locked, needing resetting by disconnecting the battery with great difficulty, This has been returned to amazon for a refund.

Superb
Comment:
I'd been looking for a new radio in the kitchen and had looked at loads of DAB/Internet radios. I liked the Sensia but couldn't justify the additional cost for features that I really didn't think I'd use.
I don't use the DAB function as the reception where I have it isn't great without the aerial being up (it's directly underneath a steel beam in the ceiling, and backs onto a load of reflective insulation in the wall behind it, so not surprising really!) but I use the internet radio function. Works really well, slight delay on startup as it buffers the radio but nothing that is worth worrying about.
I love the direct access to listen again and podcasts, absolutely brilliant feature.
The radio hasn't crashed, jumped, skipped, no issues whatsoever.
Overall, really pleased!
