With a magnetic cover flap and cut outs for docking and phone ports and of course the control wheel, all of which are positioned spot on. The "leather" is hard and padded has a snake skin like finish. The case is lined with red "suede" to prevent scratching the ipod. This case will certainly protect your Ipod. Now for the bad bit - the leather isn't leather - its plastic, and the suede isn't suede - it's a fine woven material. Finally the case has a unpleasantly strong chemical odour that doesn't seem to diminish. Saying all that its a great case that looks good and works well - just wish the makers had been a little more accurate in their description.
