Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: compatability Comment: this is truly great easy set up works great bluetoothing with samsung yp 2 . for such a small thing the volume is truely clear no distortion. with the mains lead great to use at home and the batteries option is just as powerfull and quality would highly recomend to anyone Customer Rating: Summary: a small wonder that packs a punch Comment: i was going on a holiday in a few months time and was looking for a wireless bluetooth speakers for my Samsung P2 to listen to my MP3s wherevere i go. i've searched thru Google, online stores and online review sites and found three. first, the Linx B-tube. tiny, only 2W but when i went to a store in London my P2 just wouldn't pair up or either the person serving me doesn't know how to operate. so that's gone. secondly, the Parrot Party speakers. online reviews have given it almost 5 out of 5. in paper the specs looks really good and i thought this is my holiday. downside: £75 is just too expensive for me. so, i went for Gear4's Balckbox mini. the big version is too big for me and just doesn't qualify for a nice holiday and "compactibility" (is that a word?) its 6W more than the Linx, cheaper than the Parrot Party and packs a punch espcially on small confined places like a small single room with your girlfriend maybe or inside your car, etc. really cool looking touch-sensitive buttons; just a slight touch (like the degree of touching an iPhone) for the volume Up & Down, Pause, On & Off Button which doubles as a "pairing button". upon turning on it "pairs" automatically but ofcourse you have to also set up the paring from your mobile phone and a bluetooth-enabled mp3 player like the brill P2. tried cranking the volume up to the max and the speaker does it's job really well with no distortion or "broken" speakers sound whatsoever. you can even upgrade the firmware (as the website sugest) for future updates. the only reason why it's a star less is coz of no bass boost/3d sound button or option but if you're looking for the perfect travel speakers with no wires then you got to have this baby. and oh..did i mentioned it lasts up to a whopping 8 hours on just 4 batteries (sold separately) and has a carry case to boot. 'nuff sed. go get one now! Customer Rating: Summary: Good product Comment: I bought the Blackbox mini from Misco. The sound quality was better than I expected and it's really good being able to change songs using my iPod and not have to go to the speaker system to change songs. The bluetooth range seems ok for use in an average sized room. The connection does drop out every now and then causing minor playback issues, although I haven't used the speakers long enough to assess how much of a problem this is. The LED lights flash every few seconds so they aren't practical for nightime use in the bedroom unless you want a disco. I sometimes listen to music to help me sleep, but I had to switch off the speakers due to the constant flashing. In summary, a good set of speakers, but if you want perfection... look elsewhere.
