Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Great Value Comment: I had bought a great 37 inch TV with HD picture quality by Panasonic, but the sound... oh dear! Flat or what? Solution - connect a pair of these speakers to the headphone socket and the sound fits the TV - why don't Panasonic, Sony and others put in decent speakers? Is it that hard? I have also wired up the TV and new speakers to a remote control plug so that both come on when the single button is pressed - so not even left in stand-by when not being used. As others have said, there is a bright light on the front of the speakers - my solution was to hole punch a piece of duct tape and place it over the light which has the effect of giving it a soft glow. Sorted. Customer Rating: Summary: Great Quality Speakers for the Price! Comment: Not a lot to add to the other reviews really. These are well built speakers and deliver a good sound for the price. You can get better quality sound, but then you will be paying better quality prices! Some reviews mention lack of bass, depth and that they sound tinny, but I have not found that to be the case. I have a wide taste in music and I have found them to be adequate for my needs. Set up is easy, plug in and play with controls on the front of the speaker making for easy control. They are not a sizeable unit as some suggest (maybe they have extremely small desks!!), but more chunky with a pleasing weight that suggests build quality and longevity (we shall see). Overall pleasantly surprising sound for the price, I would recommend these to anyone that wants a decent sounding small speaker without paying way over the odds. Good product, go get them, you can't go far wrong for £15! Customer Rating: Summary: Could be better Comment: Decent enough sound for the price and I like the fact there are two inputs, one for computer connection and another for other devices such as iPods. The main problem is that they must have no magnetic shielding as they pick up mobile phone interference quite badly. I was hoping to be able to open them up to add some shielding but you can't get them apart. That's that main reason I've dropped it a couple of stars from the four I would have given otherwise. I was surprised by the quality of the product for it's price. Although not perfect for DVD's, good sound quality and output. You definitely need a set of speakers with a sub woofer as well They are that bad, that the sound from my cheap DAB radio made by Acoustic Solutions with 5W max output has a better sound!
