Then the product its self; The Logitech Z-2300 are 100% the best speakers i have ever owned (and i've had many.) From the high's to the low's, the sound is crisp and clear and for a review on the bass, well i don't think you can get better for your money. I would recommend these speakers to anyone who wants Laptop/PC speakers and even better for Films and Gaming. I would also like to add that they are bigger than i thought, which in my case was a pleasant surprise but honestly, for Amazon's amazing price, these ARE the best speakers on the market for this price! Customer Rating: Summary: Brilliant Comment: Was looking around for loud and good quality 2.1 speakers, and I was absolutely impressed by this product. Huge sub woofer, small speakers...amazing quality and really loud. At half volume these speakers shook the room! The size of the speakers make it easy for me to put anywhere, and the sub woofer sits discreetly under my desk. Low, Mid, or High range, these speakers really do deliver. The only con I see is that its really expensive compared to other speakers. But if you ever need to use speakers for a party, really strive for top notch quality and have money to spend, or just generally enjoy playing your music so loud it could imitate an earthquake, pick these speakers. Comment: I have to admit that I am quite a picky listener, as having played classical music and composed several works, I tend to always hear the distortion from conventional speaker systems which by many seem to go unnoticed. This particular speaker system however, is nothing short of brilliant. Absolutely completely distortion free in practice if combined with the proper playback program. The satellites provide a very clear image when accounting for music, especially classical, but also general-purpose genres of any kind. The subwoofer is massive in the true mening of the word, and provides extreme power if necessary. The control bass/treble is very handy indeed and works almost like an in-built amplifier of the sort since it completely alters the sound image. I have to agree with some that the mid-range could be slightly improved for the next generation of this speaker system but only in extreme, exaggerated cases is this note-worthy, so it really shouldn't be accounted for as a negative aspect. When watching films the system transforms into a home theatre system, and particularly the subwoofer does its job remarkably well, changing from a musical base to a thundering, thump-emitting monster. On the other hand, the dialogue can be quite difficult to distinguish at low level, since the amplifier modifies the sound image to create space for the subwoofer, but this is easily parried by turning up the volume whilst turning down the base. All in all I highly reccomend this perfect example of reference-class 2.1 speaker system. They will not only astound you, but you will probably never revert back to headphones, and quite remarkably, quite instantly, replace your current 5.1 home theatre system, which you will find, just doesn't provide enough base when compared (unless you own a high-end home theatre system with a subwoofer producing 500 watts of power, that is). There is nothing negative to be said about these speakers, really. The wires are a bit short, but then again, they are 2.1 so they don't need to be far apart from the computer. Judging directly to their purpose, this speaker system is as close you will get to a perfect value product. High quality, the highest possible level of sound clarity, and a happy customer. Go for it. Customer Rating: Summary: Music from a PC has never sounded so good Comment: I have had these speakers for 4 years now. I have looked around friends and foes to find out what else there is out there, but couldn't find anything close let alone better. The other day I looked up Logitech website to discover that they haven't replaced them. I am not surprised; to better these speakers god knows what they would have to do (and keep the cost within the same range) I use these speakers with a Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Xtreme Music sound card.(now replaced with other names and prices, don't ask my why Creative have done this to their masterseller) Believe me it brings out the best in PC music. It thrashes my Hi-Fi set up with loads to spare. I was listening to Kind of Blue from my CD the other day. I soon realised what I had been missing playing the CD in my Hi-Fi system. I know there are a make called Klipsch who are supposed to be quite good. Well, I have never tried them, so can't compare. The z2300 has an amazing build quality. I have moved the chunky sub with his little babies a few times, get it knocked over by boisterous kids, yet you won't even notice a scratch or anything. These are the best 2.1 speakers I have ever come across. Customer Rating: Summary: to much base Comment: these are good speakers for the prise. ive had them over 3 months now and ive noticed that if you turn them up all the way they seem to over heat NOT VERY GOOD SMELL. but i just dont turn them up full blast ne more. yeah and the base is ether all or nothing oh yeah also turn the base up and cange your sound mix to base aswell and the speaker hits the front pannle ANNOYING More Reviews
