Summary: A LITTLE GEM
Comment: This electronic miracle provides everything you could want in a DVD-player in a tiny space - ideal
for a cramped bedroom or come to that for a spacious lounge - and at a tiny price.

Its main
feature is that it takes anything you ask it to play - including unformatted DVD+RWs (so that what I
record on the DVD recorder in the lounge I can watch in the bedroom) and commercial DVDs meant for
any region. When amazon.com can provide DVDs from America at half the cost in England even when you
have paid for the shipping - to say nothing of the huge numbers of us who go there on business or
for pleasure and have the chance to buy retail - anything which gets round the iniquitous Region
system is worth having.

The ultimate test was The Patriot which is alleged to defeat multi-region
players - wrong again, Hollywood, this £20 marvel was not fazed by "Regional Code Enhancement".
(That's $36, to annoy anyone in the business!).

The controls are easy to understand, the remote
has big buttons which are easy for anyone to use, and even the instructions make some sense.

Comment: First dvd I received was faulty with the remote not working. The second one I now have gives a
notable humming sound if you increase the volume. Not impressed.

Comment: I would not recommend this item at all. I bought it to watch region 1 DVDs. I was really excited to
finally be able to watch my new DVDs. I was really dissapointed by this product beacuase, not only
was the colour messed up, but the sound was also out of sync. You can imagine my frustration!

Summary: Nice and easy
Comment: Its a lovely little DVD player. I bought this for my parents as a present as I bought a region free
DVD player a few years ago and as such have a large volume of region 1 DVDs. Its plays them really
well although after about 15 mins the sync does go a bit but pausing and pressing play again solves
this. I also had a problem with subtitles coming on which I also had recently with my other DVD
players. This is easily solved by going to the setup. Recommend this product! For £20 you could buy
a new one every year!!
