Summary: Excellent...while it was working
Comment: I bought this dvd player 8 months ago and didn't have any problems so I was really pleased with the
performance at such a low price, but I guess you get what you pay for as it's now packed in. The
drawer keeps sticking and when I have managed to get a disc in the machine it has whirred noisily
and the picture freezes, jumps or just there just isn't one. Be warned, as another reviewer as
already stated, this is great piece of equipment if you only want it to work short term (and who
wants that)?. I'm now in the process of buying another multi regional player, by a very reliable
and well known manufacturer which doesn't cost much more at an extra £40. Yes I know there's no
guarantee that that one won't pack in aswell but somehow I feel more confident in buying that rather
than another cheaper duplicate of this one.

Summary: Intermitent functioning unit
Comment: The Starlogic Multi-Region 2.1 DVD player has a good output in picture quality - that's as much as I
can comment on the positive side.
However, my device switched on intermittently at times: the
unit just wouldn't turn on at after pressing the switch on the front.
When I use something,
especially if it's new, I expect it to work first time and everytime!
The low budget price is
reflected in the fact, that there's no digital counter display on the front panel to track your
movie timings.
I made the right decision to get rid of it and am dissappointed at Amazon's
decision to sell budget priced equipment which have flaws in them.
If you want a budget priced
item that has been bulk purchased, with no digital display panel and with intermittent faults - go
for it!

Summary: Glad Amazon have stopped selling this rubbish
Comment: This is the first time I have been disappointed with a product bought from Amazon. Following the
great reviews at the end of last year, I bought this DVD player as an extra for everyone at home for
Christmas. To start with we were pretty impressed as everything worked well and the machine could
play any DVD we threw at it.
Unfortunately a few weeks ago the player gave up completely. It
won't register any disk we try to play. After a brief attempt to read, we just get "No Disk"
displayed and that was it.
The player was cheap, but you would expect at least a year's worth of
viewing even from a cheap machine.
As many others have said, you get what you pay for. But even
£25 was too much for this dreadful player.

Comment: My dad bought me this through amazon for xmas 04.
Its just broken down in the middle of watching
a dvd, and now the door wont close at all and it makes a continuous clicking
sound.
Great.
Didnt want to see the end of the movie anyways.
Buy this if you only need it
to work for 7 months, as I note another reviewer got one for xmas as well, and theirs packed up 7
days ago.
