Summary: It does what it says on the box ...and more
Comment: I brought this player specifically to play some region 1 dvds. It arrived 3 working days later.
I
connected the scart lead, plugged it in, and pressed the "go" button. It played. Instantly. No
setting up, no channel changing. No messing about at all. Excellent.
It also played:- Region 2
dvds, audio, mpeg4, in fact every cd I could find!
In short, Highly Recommended.

Summary: Prefect multi-regional DVD player
Comment: This really is a great price for a DVD player and not only dose it play region 2 which all DVD
players are in The UK but it also plays all my DVD from USA region 1.

This product is so good and
cheap that I'm buying a couple for christmas presents. No longer do I get useless USA DVD from
friends in America I can now play them all.

Summary: BRILLIANT VALUE!
Comment: This DVD player plays EVERYTHING I've thrown at it so far: multi-region discs (I know it says it
should anyway, but other players make this claim and don't live up to it), SVCDs, VCDs (and there's
even a special EQ menu so you can adjust the output sound to mimic a church, jazz club etc!!) and
CDs/ CD-R/RWs. I was a bit dubious about buyng so cheaply - you get what you pay for, and all that -
but reading other reviews I thought I may as well try it. My £150 Bush DVD player is RUBBISH by
comparison; so much better is this unknown brand that it's now in my living room as the main player.
If you're looking for a first DVD player or a replacement for a known brand that's let you down,
then look no further! It's really light-weight and reads the discs QUICKLY. No more waiting for a
rew minutes while my old player chugs and finally brings up the menu. The only niggle is that I've
had to put a bit of paper under one 'leg' to make it sit flat, but considering what I feel I've got
for just £30 when my £150 is not half so good, I'm chuffed to bits!

Summary: Excellent Value
Comment: I wanted a reasonably priced multi-region DVD player, and considered £29.99 VERY reasonable. I was
sceptical at first, but all the reviewers seemed to be happy, so what the hell, I ordered it. Not
only did it turn up in 2 days . . yes, 2 days . . but it works brilliantly - plays all my region
1/2/3 DVDs no problem. Want some good advice . . . BUY ONE.

Summary: At that price, simply fantastic
Comment: I must admit I bought this mostly out of curiosity, as I have a top of the range Sony which serves
me very well. But I thought, at that price, it is worth a gamble to see if it would make a good
Christmas present. There are many cheap DVD multi region players out there, but they come with so
many defects or problems that they are not worth bothering with. This one is different: If you are
looking for a no-nonsense player that won't provide you with the latest dolby surround sound but
WILL play any imported DVD you care to throw at it, then this is your machine! It even played
Spiderman (Region 1 RCE encoded) without as much as a pause to think about it. This disc is
notoriously 'moody', even my old Sony occasionally needed a 'workaround trick' to play it, but the
Starlogic had no trouble at all. I think you can safely assume that, until something worse than RCE
comes along, the Starlogic can deal with all your movie needs.
