Our likes: Cost! Appearance. It is slim and sits on top of ourestablished dvd player very nicely. It looks good. The simple function controls on the top rightof the player are simple to use and all that are required for straighforward, simple use. It isgenuinely multi-region and has coped with all disc formats offered to it. Connectivity is excellentalthough there is only one scart. Picture and sound quality are as good as any other player costingfive times as much. The remote control looks cheap but it feels substantial and offers a multitudeof facilities.
Dislikes: There is no display whatsoever on the player; not even led indication of'on' or 'standby'. Display functions are totally on-screen. It is disconcerting to look at theplayer and see no illumination indicating on/off status. There is a picture/sound synchronisationissue with some dvds. I suspect this is a software/hardware matter relating to production costs. The second edition of 'Who wants to be a Millionaire?' highlights this problem significantly butFilms and music seem fine. The IR output cone from the remote control is very restricted. It iseasy to 'miss' the sensor on the player.
Overall: Chinese manufacture and their quality isimproving all the time. At the price it represents excellent value and although there arelimitations, it does offer some excellent facilities. 'You pays your money and you......'
