Summary: Marvellous little player
Comment: I originally bought this DVD player for my father in law as a cheapish Christmas present, but what a
bargain. On opening the box, a stylish, slimline player is presented with what looks like very good
build quality.
Having set up the player, which was easy and simple to do with a logically set out
menu sytem, it took no time at all to get a picture onto the screen using the well laid out remote.
For the price, the quality of the display and features are outstanding. It also boasts an impressive
array of external input and output ports.
The player had no problem in coping with a variety of
different format discs and I found the machine virtually silent in operation.
All in all
unbeatable for the price.

Summary: Mediocre
Comment: This DVD purchase was a mistake! The colour variation spoils the films, wavering between dark and
light. It may be OK for a child's room, but it's basically unwatchable if you are a discriminating
person. I would not recommend this cheap and nasty player.

Summary: You get more than you pay for!!
Comment: My motto is you only ever get what you pay for....however, this machine is an exception. Excellent
value, we have 2, both my daughters have one, it play everything! Even DVD's that other multiregions
don't like. I am now buying one for my son! Don't be unsure....buy one

Summary: starlogic
Comment: very good for the money, plays anything you can throw at it straight out of the box. negatives about
it are, very small and has buttons on the top, so you cann't put it under a tv, a big minus when my
tv has a sharply sloping top.Secondly, it has no lights, digits or any sort of visible display, so
you do not know if it is even switched on or powered up, and you do not know what chapter of the dvd
you are in or the time played/remaining. is this a fault on my machine? or is everyones the
same?
other than that for the money you can not go wrong, if it fails within a year it is a
warranty repair, after that you just buy another at that price.

Summary: It's the price of a couple of discs!
Comment: Amazon proved to be as good as usual with their ordering and delivery. This DVD player was cheaper
to buy than it would have cost to convert our current player to multi-region, and at this price it
was not going to break the bank.

Our likes: Cost! Appearance. It is slim and sits on top of our
established dvd player very nicely. It looks good. The simple function controls on the top right
of the player are simple to use and all that are required for straighforward, simple use. It is
genuinely multi-region and has coped with all disc formats offered to it. Connectivity is excellent
although there is only one scart. Picture and sound quality are as good as any other player costing
five times as much. The remote control looks cheap but it feels substantial and offers a multitude
of facilities.

Dislikes: There is no display whatsoever on the player; not even led indication of
'on' or 'standby'. Display functions are totally on-screen. It is disconcerting to look at the
player and see no illumination indicating on/off status. There is a picture/sound synchronisation
issue with some dvds. I suspect this is a software/hardware matter relating to production costs.
The second edition of 'Who wants to be a Millionaire?' highlights this problem significantly but
Films and music seem fine. The IR output cone from the remote control is very restricted. It is
easy to 'miss' the sensor on the player.

Overall: Chinese manufacture and their quality is
improving all the time. At the price it represents excellent value and although there are
limitations, it does offer some excellent facilities. 'You pays your money and you......'
