Comment: I bought this Dvd player for my parents for christmas. I could not believe how small and sleek it
was. I set it up for them on christmas day, and it was so easy, you just plug it in and away you
go. My parents are really pleased with the Dvd, and have had no problems with it so far. It is a
really good product for the price. I am even thinking about buying one for myself.

Summary: Not Impressed !!!
Comment: I bought this DVD given the great feedbacks submitted by other customers prior to Christmas. However
I'm not impressed. My machine refuses to play mint condition UK PAL Region 2 discs without freezing
at least a couple of times thoughout the movie. The only way you can restart it is to completely
power down the machine and start all over again. No matter how cheap the DVD player I would say
playing a region 2 disc with no problmes is an absolute minimum requirement for any machine sold in
the UK. Only buy this machine if you are happy to gamble your £30. Me - I'm going to stick to the
big brand names from here on in.

Summary: cheap...and nasty
Comment: Well, you get what you pay for I suppose. Cheap and multi regional, which is good, but the quality
is lacking big time. The picture and sound go out of synch regularly and the machine itself is very
loud. But, if you want an extra dvd player for the spare room or whatever, this'll do grand

Summary: stopped working within a month
Comment: do i really need to say more?

as i've already stated, i have had this DVD player for less than a
month now, and it has already stopped reading all of my DVDs, both PAL and NTSC.

the only reason i
think it deserves the one star is because when it did work, it was pretty good, but i'd rather put
up with bad quality if it would last longer than this.

Summary: Good Value DVD Player
Comment: A couple of issues worth noting:

A minor point - There is no case display, so no visual indication
that the unit is switched on.

More importantly - It's error tolerance is not great. Therefore
with DVD-R discs, it is only happy with "Premium grade" discs and may not even recognise "Standard
grade" ones. However it does cope with disc errors, in that it displays "compression artefacts"
when it hits a problem, but does continue playing. Other more expensive players often "lock-up" in
these situations.

Otherwise, excellent value.
