Summary: Remember the Non-Techies
Comment: The machine is outstandingly good value for money, especially if you just want to pop in a DVD and
enjoy it. It is wonderful to be able to play all those American DVDS.

While the set-up is very
easy for most of us, remember that those who are not familiar with entertainment equipment might not
know how to connect the cables and scart lead. Though they would refer to the manual the initial
diagram is confusing and the print throughout far too small for visually impaired people.

I had
peculiar problems with the menu buttons and even the power up button. It took several attempts
before the controls seemed to be functioning properly.

That said the machine plays perfectly and
the price is incredible. Thanks also to Amazon for their speed of delivery though unfortunately the
delivery company just dumped mine in the hallway of our block of flats where anyone could have
stolen it. I found it coming in from work.

Still, outstanding value for money and very speedy
delivery.

Summary: Subtitle problem, bit loud.
Comment: Bought this as a christmas present based on previous reviews and also the value for money
factor.
After about a week of having the dvd player problem free a few weird things started
happening.
Subtitles would start coming on the screen for no reason, and when you tried to turn
them off with the remote you would get "invalid key", only way to sort the problem is to turn the
power off/on.

Also the player is quite loud when loading the disc.

Apart from that the quality
is perfect and great value for money!

Summary: Starlogic DVD Player
Comment: For the cost an amazing product, really does exactly what it says on the tin. Okay its not a
Panasonic or Sony, but you do pay for that. Quality fine and does play absolutly anything.
Need
a cheap DVD player....you got it!!

Summary: Good while it lasted...
Comment: We bought this unit to use at my mother-in-law's house on the weekends. It was great at first, easy
setup, read our US DVDs with no problems. Unfortunately, after less than 2 months, it died. The
lack of LED on/standby light made it difficult to diagnose the problem but after checking
cables/batteries/etc. I'm sad to say it's definitely deader than a doornail. Hopefully the repair
cost will not be higher than the original price of the unit. My feeling at this point, though - go
with a known brand, it's worth the extra $$.

Comment: I have bought this DVD player from Amazon for my childrens bedroom and i have had
problems.
Firstly the dvd player was delivered promptly as always by amazon but upon opening the
slide out drawer cover was already open and would not close by itself,
I returned it to Amazon
who sent out another ( Again promptly )
this time all seemed ok until i played an audio CD and it
skipped several times , i tried several other audio cd's and still they skipped, i am now in the
process of getting my money back and will invest in a slightly more expensive player
