Comment: My player arrived yesterday and I am very pleased with it. It plays my American and English DVD's no
problem, also plays a copied DVD, not to mention that it can handle CD-R's and AND dics with Windows
Media Player files. It even takes a CD of picture (.jpg) files and plays them as a slide show, or
lets you browse through them.

It doesn't come with a SCART lead, but that's hardly a major
expense; however it DOES come with a phono-to-phono lead so you can run the sound to your stereo AND
it includes batteries for the remote, which is always a nice touch.

The only reason this gets four
stars is because it is EVER SO SLIGHTY lower in picture quality than I had hoped, however, this may
just be because I was right in front of my TV actually checking out the picture quality... once you
start watching properly you'd never notice.

Best £20 I've spent in a long time.

Summary: Starlogic Multi-region DVD Player
Comment: I purchased this item about 4 months ago and have not had one problem with it at all. I have thrown
every format of disc I had at it and it played its way through all of them. In response to negative
feedback on here, most of the time the lines and dots are due to an old or incorrectly fitted scart
or AV Lead. Excellent value for money!

Summary: A Deal gone bad
Comment: I bought this thinking it was an amazing deal and it was...for about 2 weeks and then it it would
only play Cd's and 2 weeks later it wouldn't play at all. Although it seems great I wouldn't buy it
unless you only want to use for a short span of time. My advice spend about £20 more and get a
better quality Deal.

Summary: Avoid like the plague, the reaper, and Noel's House Party
Comment: I've had two of these.
The first one played fine for a week until it stopped reading discs one
evening, it would take them in and then eject them without trying to play them.
The replacement,
right from the get-go would play from anywhere within the 10 seconds to an hour mark, before cutting
off to a black screen and then restarting, as if you'd just put the disc in. These being discs
bought from a reputable shop, with no marks or scratches.

It's a cheap, highly unreliable line,
and not worth the paper the invoice is printed on.

Summary: Please, please don't buy this. (For your sanity's sake)
Comment: I bought this dvd player as a present for someone and it has been rubbish from day one. The sound
isn't in synch with the picture (really annoying), the subtitles keep coming on and now it's stopped
playing nearly all dvds. The disks all work fine on other machines. I know it's cheap and we all
love a bargain but trust me, this isn't what you want. I'm amazed that Amazon are still selling it
to be honest. Shame on them.
Listen, I read the bad reviews too and ignored them.. Shame on
me.
DON'T BUY THIS. IT'S JUNK.
