Summary: Beware!!
Comment: Not a good deal at all. Ok 30quid is cheap and what do you expect for your money. But I expected
more than 6 months use out of it before it only played some dvds in black and white and others not
at all. Beware, spend more on a dvd player that will last.

Summary: Great Value For Money
Comment: I have had the player for 4 months and it has played everything I have tried, including mp3 discs
and cd-roms of jpg photos.
The only negatives are the lack of any display on the unit itself -
but what do you expect for £25. Also, it occassionally stumbles on DVD+ format discs.
Reading
the various reviews, it would appear that the biggest problem is quality control. The number of
faulty drives seems to be quite high and whilst you can get problems with equipment from any
company, Starlogic seems to have a higher than normal failure rate. So buyer beware. If you get a
goodun', and I did, it is a great value for money player.

Summary: Maybe I was just unlucky
Comment: When I bought this item it was 24 quid. That's too little to pay for a DVD player. I see it's now
only 20 British pounds.

Overcoming my initial self loathing on unpacking this unfeasably cheap
item,Iplugged it in and everything worked fine for about 2 weeks.

Then the fuse went, trapping the
dvd inside which cost me more thsn the player.
I didn't feel i could trust Amazon to retrieve the
dvd if I sent it back, so had to open up the thing, thus invalidating my warranty. I replaced the
fuse, got the disc out,put it all back togethe and the fuse immediately blew again.

My advice
would be, get one from Asda, at least it's easier to return when it blows up!

Summary: Good Value for nice slim box
Comment: Recently got one of these for my Nan , just coming into the 21st century ! . Played everything no
problems ! Region 1 - 9 all no worries and even some WMA formats played !. Still on some of the
disks i did notice the little black dots and i just tweaked around with the scart lead - this
corrected it. I would advise buying a scart to S-VHS if you have this adaptor on your tv. Sound and
Picture alot better quality.
Q. What more do you want for £20.00 ??? The moon on a stick !

Get
one ! If you don't like it give it away !

Good Value for nice slim box !

Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS
Comment: When i saw a banner for this on the amazon front page i went ahead and bought the dvd player.
Mainly because I was attracted by the low price. Well i guess the old addage is true - "you get
what you pay for". Yes it plays fine i suppose, however it makes a noticable noise when playing the
dvd's and this severely impairs your dvd-watching experience.
