Summary: Excellent value for money, though a little noisy
Comment: I think the title of this review pretty much says it all.

The machine works very well indeed, my
only grumble being that mine spins rather noisily.

Back when the YAKUMO XL2 was being sold cheap
I would have recommended it over the STARLOGIC, but as it's now a far more expensive there's really
nothing to compete in this price range.

Summary: The best ever, and the worst ever
Comment: This player does something I have never seen in any player before. It will play any mpeg or mpg
video that your computer will play. Just burn it onto disc and put it in the player! Brilliant.
However, I've only had it for 4 months and its packed in.
I am currently buying another exactly
the same though because of its video playing features. I wish it lasted longer though. I'm just
guessing mine was weak and others will have all the good and none of the bad.

Summary: TERRIBLE
Comment: Short and sweet this player is really all its money's worth. £20 sounds cheap and it is cheap
therefore what you get is CHEAP. Player kept pausing on its own, skipping scenes at its own desire
and wouldn't work on all of the 22 DVD's we tried. Steer clear of sorry.

Summary: Excellent value for money
Comment: You really can't get more for £20. This DVD player is excellent value for money. Of course it
doesn't have any function other than the very basic ones, but after all that's all one needs. It is
slightly noisy, especially when the movie volume is low you can hear the player "working". But it
isn't really disturbing. I can thoroughly recommend this DVD player to all those who want a basic
but well functioning asset.

Summary: Bargain DVD
Comment: We bought this DVD player a few months ago and it has worked perfectly ever since. It isn't flash
and doesn't have every feature going but if you want something to play DVDs effectively at a truly
bargain price, this is the one for you. Just make sure your scart lead is plugged in correctly and
away you'll go. It is qute fond of playing subtitles but we've always managed to get rid of them.
It also plays region 1 and 2 dvds without any problems. What more could you want for the price?
