Summary: Good for what you pay (But not good for VCDs!!)
Comment: I bought this as a cheap and cheerful xmas gift for my Dad. I have to say its caused no major
problems so far. It plays regular DVDs fine, no worries. However, if you are buying it to play our
own burnt VCDs on I suggest you proceed with caution. It seems to only play about 50% of them with
no probs. The other 50% have real problems with the sound and picture being out of synch all the
time which is really annoying! And I know it must be the player and not the disc causing the problem
as i've tried it out on other peoples players and the sound and pic are in perfect synch.

Summary: Disappointing
Comment: This player worked well for me for Region 2 DVDs (bearing in mind the £25 price tag). However, on
every Region 1 disk I tried, the sound and picture became out of sync, making it unusable. Returned
it for a refund.

Summary: Cheap But Not Nasty.....
Comment: At under £20 (exactly that because of the Amazon free delivery facility) this is a fine entry-level
dvd player. Made better by the fact that it is multi-region. The player has worked well on all dvds
viewed so far.

Summary: Brilliant!!
Comment: Really good buy, the best £19.99 I have ever spent. It plays all types of dvd's. It is a slim-line
machine and a nice silver and black colour. It has all different features - zoom, subtitles, screen
size, colour adjusting! Brilliant value!!

Summary: Amazing value
Comment: I have a £5,000 home Cinema system which is three years old, my expensive (£500+) DVD player
stopped working, so I bought the Starlogic to play DVD's on while I made up my mind what to replace
it with. I have to say I am VERY impressed with this £20 DVD player - don't be fooled by it saying
2.1 sound either, it has optical and coax Bitstream PCM (SPDIF/Raw) outputs and if your receiver
decodes 5.1 and DTS then it handles surround sound too. Also has Component Video outs and S-Video as
well as Scart. It is MultiRegion too, plays US NTSC DVD's no problem. Picture quality is very good
and looks just as good as my earlier top of the range Toshiba player. Buy one now before they're all
gone. Don't think I'll bother with an expensive replacement, this is good enough for me.
