Summary: Good but too stealthy
Comment: It was £20.
It plays DVD very well.
It doesn't have any lights on the front so I often find I
leave it playing by mistake.

Nothing's perfect.

Summary: Very good until it stopped
Comment: After an initial problem with the live wire in the plug coming loose the player seemed to work
excellently. It played region 1 & 2 disks, JPEGs and MP3s. It then worked for a few days until it
stopped in the middle of a film. Eventually the disk was retrieved after repeated selections and DVD
viewing was resumed on the Playststion 2.

On investigating (voiding the warranty being more fun
than the hassle of returning the thing) I found the internal fuse had blown. After reading another
reviewer who replaced the fuse only to have it blow again I decided to bin it.

Well what can you
expect for £20! In future I'll go with my instincts and buy a known brand and pay a little more.

Summary: Good and cheap, reads all my disks
Comment: I've noticed a lot of bad reviews of this player so wasn't too surprised when I set up mine and foud
out that the colour switched to black and white after about 5 mins.
However, I contacted Amazon
and they replaced it immediately (and refunded the postage), and the new player works perfectly.
This DVD player plays any region and all kinds of disks I've thrown at it. This includes many DVD-Rs
that my much more expensive player refuses to play (even though it is compatible with this
type).

I had a similar subtitle problem to many other people (always on), but found out that the
default on the player had been set to ON instead of OFF so this was an easy fix.

All in all, for
£20 you can't expect quality control to be as good as more expensive brands, and I'm more than
happy with this DVD player - especially since it doesn't even have a problem with some of my older
(and slightly scratched) disks.

Summary: Another happy customer
Comment: This is great value. if your looking for a dvd player and don't want anything fancy, this is great!
for your £20 pounds you get the cable the remote and even batteries etc. the player its self looks
good and fits in nicely. The only things that give it away as a cheap player, is that the fact the
starlogic symbol is abit tackey, and the start up screen is abit blocky, but if you were worried by
appearence, you would be prepaired to spend more money right?

In summery: is does excatly what it
is says it does! CHEAPLY

Summary: What a Billy Bargain!
Comment: The Starlogic 2.1 plays anything you can throw at it and has all the connections you could possibly
want (SCART, S-Video, Optical, Coax, etc.)

My only niggle and it is minor is that there is no
standby light. This is only an issue when I use the player for listening to music without the TV
on. When I've finished I can't tell if it's turned off or not. Told you it was minor :)

In
summary, this player is so good for the money that I'm thinking of buying another one just for the
hell of it!
