Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: waking up becomes a pleasure Comment: good reception - like to listen to radio 4 mostly - had shower radios before that haven't lasted. I have had this radio for at least a year and intend to buy more for family members for christmas presents! Customer Rating: Summary: Not what it says on the tin Comment: This is a great radio but unfortunately it does not do what it says on the tin. The weather station and the TV audio channels are not available outside continental America. So for half the functions promised it is an expensive shower radio. The radio itself is far better than most of the other supposed shower radios that are on the market. Customer Rating: Summary: Non Splash Proof Radio Comment: This Sony Radio promised so much. However, it has fallen well short of what I expected. Good points first. When the radio worked it did give clear reception and had good sound quality. Easy to tune and use and could easily be heard over shower. The first disappointment was that some of the features ( Weather news etc) only work in the USA. These features do not work in the UK, something which is not mentioned on products page. However by far the biggest fault is that dispite following all the operating guidelines in the manual, after only a couple of months use in a typical family bathroom the unit became unuseable. First the volume control stopped working and then the touch controls gave up rendering the radio useless. I now use an old waterproof radio which the Sony one was ment to replace. Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent product Comment: I have had a number of shower radios none of which have worked properly. Mostly, the problem relates to the aerial and sound quality.
