Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Great value Comment: We bought this for our daughter's birthday. At first use we had some problems with it freezing up and not shutting down properly unless the batteries were removed (as noted by some others in these reviews), however we were using an SD card taken out of a Canon camera, and once we'd formatted the card to the Samsung everything worked fine. It takes very good pictures and is pretty easy to use. You can't beat it for the money in my view. Customer Rating: Summary: Not Happy, Missing Pictures, Refuses to Turn Off Sometimes Comment: I am now on my second one of these Samsung S760 Cameras. Had to send first one back as the camera kept freezing, meaning you had to remove the batteries to get it to switch off and back on again. Camera also had a problem where some pictures did not take at all, and came up with error on screen when you tried to review them, so if it had been an important pic you would really not be impressed. Amazon have replaced and sent another as I have asked, which by the way is brilliant service from Amazon and would actually give them 5* for the way they have handled it, i'm very impressed with them, just not with this camera. The replacement camera, although I have not used it as much, is showing the same problems as the first, with missing pictures and refusing to turn off. I could just be unlucky, but feel I have given them a fair chance with having two of them, but not happy, and will be looking to get another camera from a different manufacturer now. Customer Rating: Summary: Hmmm - mixed reviews Comment: Got this camera for my daughter, and it went through two sets of batteries in two days. I wondered if she was leaving it on ... but then it stopped being able to autofocus, and then it stopped retracting the lens when the power was turned off. So, either there was something wrong with that specific camera, or there's something not right with this model in general - and I say that because I've read the reviews for the same model in the other colours (blue, silver), and the ratings are either 4/5 or they're 1/2. Bottom line, there seems to be some chance that if you buy this, you'll get a bad one. Me, I returned it and went for a Kodak 8MP with rehcargeable battery from Argos instead - and my daughter's a very happy bunny. There is even a setting which rectifies shaky hands so now the children can photograph their own work with great results. All in all a great buy.
