Summary: Just about adequate
Comment: It's terribly cheaply made and like another reviewer said you get a little key-ring-sized lanyard with it, which is presumably to attach the lid to the body but there's no sensible or logical way to do this. The best I could come up with after 15 minutes of tedious fiddling just about works but looks a right mess.

It's made of extremely cheap plastic that looks like it won't stand up to frequent use. It's also quite fat so it won't fit into hard-to-access USB ports or ones that are close to other ports with things plugged into them (this is what the extension cable is for, but that's an extra thing to carry around and/or lose).

Here's a tip for Windows users: before you connect it MAKE SURE that you don't have any drives mapped to E:, F: or G:. I had a drive mapped as G: and just spent half an hour trying to figure out why it couldn't read the Micro SD card - it actually could, but it was trying to map it to a letter that was already in use. After un-mapping G: and removing/reinserting the device the Micro SD card showed up as G: and I was able to read it.

Summary: It didn't work
Comment: Windows detected the device and showed the 3 drives in "My Computer" but the SDHC card wasn't connected. I had to physically push down on the device to make it connect and I wasn't holding it for the time it takes to copy 16gb of photos, so I binned it and bought one from Comet.

Summary: Nice concept, but not robust enough for me
Comment: I really like the form factor. The mini extension cable is great. And it's cheap! Unfortunately it only survived my portable use and fiddle-fingers for about 6 months.

It's also a pity how easily the plastic card-slide for the SD card falls off - not that it really matters.

I was to dumb to work out whatonearth the piece of string and metal was supposed to be for. I guess the current picture shows it, but frankly if a device needs any degree of self-assembly, I want instructions please!

The device is also buggy. Par for the course :). Fortunately this only seems to affect a couple of recent linux kernel versions; the hardware bug got a workaround. But it doesn't inspire complete confidence.

Summary: very cute, but for this price + functionality, you can't expect it to survive much abuse. Since it's a portable, fiddly device, it rather limits the appeal for me.

Summary: Poor quality
Comment: Bought two of these: one did not work at all, and on the other one the microSD slot does not work. Nice idea, and I like the way the cards are totally enclosed - but seem to be remarkably poor quality for a Kingston product.

Summary: Great Card Reader
Comment: good card reader - arrived next day excellent service. only thing is it won't read a microSD card which is inserted into a SD convertor but otherwise good piece of kit
