I was pretty sure it would work, but all these tales of Transcend's incompatibility with many Canons did concern me a little, especially since I use only Macs (another impossibility according to some reviewers here). All I can say after a couple of days of playing around with the camera, the card, the reader and my old G4 Mac Powerbook is that the whole system has worked perfectly. For me, at least, there has been NO incompatibility with Mac OS 10.4 or OS 10.5, or with the Canon camera. I slot the card into the S5 Transcend reader; the reader into the USB slot on my Powerbook; the laptop takes 10 seconds to recognise the card, and then starts pulling through the pix at a phenomenal rate. Well worth the money. I can only suppose the one-star reviewers are very unlucky or haven't done enough buying research before buying. It's shame that these people have rated a wonderful card so poorly because of their own shortcomings. More Reviews
