This camera isn't too bad while it's working. I bought it to replace its 8 megapixel predecessor, as this had started playing up just under a year after buying it (the screen had stopped working completely).
The video on this camera isn't too bad; although don't bother zooming in at all, as it the picture quality is pretty poor if you're not zoomed out completely.
I love the best shot options. The picture quality in general is pretty good. Having said that, it's incredibly frustrating having only 3x optical zoom on a 10 megapixel camera.
It's lightweight and compact; great for keeping in your jeans pocket when you're out for a night.
I'd ABSOLUTELY recommend buying a memory card for this. If you intend on taking much video footage, get as much memory as you can afford, especially seeing as the price of memory has dropped significantly over the past year or so. Even if you're not big on video, you're best off getting at least a 1 or 2G memory card if you're a happy snapper like me.
You have to take the battery out to recharge it and it's a shame Cassio didn't keep the docking station method they used for the 8 megapixel version.
My biggest bugbear with this exilim camera is that, again, just under a year after purchasing it, it has started really playing up. This time it just turns itself off randomly, leaving the zoom out. I'm not sure if there is a general problem with reliabilty of Exilims after a while but it seems strange both of mine have had severe problems less that 12 months after buying them!

I bought this camera not from Amazon, although I am an Amazon customer. It was advertised in the national press by Asda at £67. I am only sorry I did not purchase a couple of them. It is superb camera in all aspects, compact, and so simple to use. To date I have seen the same camera advertised at anything up to £200, and therefore I am delighted.

Comment:
Two years ago I bought a Pentax (can't remember model) at Dixons as it was on offer at £199. The camera was 6MP and it was my worst ever purchase; awful low light shots, ridiculous amount of purple fringing. Therefore, for my next camera, I decided to do my homework. I looked at Sony's, Canon, Fuji, but it never crossed my mind to try Casio 'the cheap watch makers'. I browsed photo mags, pro websites and forums and they highly rated this camera, so after a month of pondering I decided to give it a go.
I am thrilled to bits with this camera. I highly recommend this camera to anyone who is looking for a reliable compact camera on a budget.
I am particularly impressed by the Profiled Scene Modes (36 I think). Whether its low light, sport, macro or night shots this camera profiles for virtually anywhere. The cameras menu's are easy to navigate and the battery life is fantastic. I was also impressed by the video and sound quality; excellent for taking short clips.
The camera takes an SD card. I bought a 2GB one from Amazon for under £10 which I recommend so you don't have to worry about running out of space. I went to London last weekend and took 450 photos at 10MP quality and also recorded a series of short video clips. The battery was just past the half way point and there was still space left on the memory card.
If your budget is £100 then buy this camera. You won't be disappointed.

I've been using my Casio (the silver version), for 3 months now, and I must say I'm so pleased with it. It's small, so it can fit in any handbag - which is very useful for us ladies - and the battery is unbelievable! I've only charged it 5 times in 3 months and I use this cam all the time. The lcd screen has a very good clear image as well as the final result. This might just be the perfect camera, considering price and quality.
