Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Annoying! Comment: I bought this purely upon reading these positive reviews, but what they didn't tell you about is the constant whistling! I took the first one back to the shop because I thought it must be a fault but the replacement was the same. I emailed 4gamers and they said that yes there is a slight whistling and that I should return it if I find it interupts my listening pleasure. Erm 'slight' is a bit of an understatement. I tried to ignore it but unless the music is a reasonable volume it's always there! It seems to be picking up the noise from the psp as if I browse through the menu the lovely whistle changes a bit! I suppose it's ok if you're always going to play music loud, but I don't! Customer Rating: Summary: A must-have for all PSP owners Comment: My old CD ghettoblaster broke down recently and, as it's barbeque time, I wanted a replacement to use as a music player outside. The cheapest I could find that plays MP3's was about £30, so I decided to buy one of these and use my PSP as an outdoor mp3 player. I wasn't disappointed! This Home Theatre System is a very nice piece of kit. Plenty loud enough to play music outside and I've just watched my first mp4 film on it on the back garden and I really can't fault it. The remote is a great little addition and can even be kept inside the case when you pack it up so you don't lose it. It has a earphone-out jack which works without mains power connected so it makes an ideal movie stand for use on planes, trains, etc. where there is no mains power available. You can also use your PSP car charger to power the unit, although you might want to ask the driver's permission first!! The only couple of gripes I could possibly mention would be: 1. It does not come with its own mains adapter. I usually have my charger plugged in next to my PC so I can charge it at the same time as transferring data and it is awkward to get to my plug socket, so you might want to invest in a second charger. But for the price, I'm really not moaning. 2. It would have been nice to have the option of using batteries to power the speakers to save you having to run extension cables everywhere. 3. It can be a bit tricky finding the earphone socket when placing the PSP in its cradle but I think I'll master that after a couple of weeks. Overall for 30 quid, you really cannot complain. If you own a PSP you want one of these! Customer Rating: Summary: Best PSP Dock Around, Better Than The Logic 3 Soundstation Comment: Exactly what the title says really. I would certainly recommend this over the successful Logic 3 Soundstation. This PSP theatre system looks awesome when folded out, and still looks good when folded inwards as it looks like a PSP itself! (see the picture if you don't know what I'm on about!) The sound is top notch and MP3s and films sound quality! If you are like me and use programs like DVD shrink to get DVDs to your own memory card then do not fear, these also sound astonishing, equally as good as UMD films you can buy! I've recently put King Kong onto my memory card and the sound that comes from it on the Theatre System is astonishing. The tilting mechanism is also brilliant, allowing you to precisely position the PSP for optimum viewing, and this really is a good feature! The infra red remote is also excellent meaning that once you've set up the system and got the PSP tilted the right way sit back and relax, changing volume, chapters etc froma distance. This is ecellent for use in hotels. Recently I've been on trips to Torquay and London with friends and we all sat on the bed/sofa to watch King Kong and Saving Private Ryan and lazily changed the volume via the remote from a long distance without having to get up and handel the PSP itself!!! Overall I would highly recommend this excellent product. The Logic 3 Soundstation has many flaws (such as you can't turn the psp off when its in the dock, and its a fiddly job putting it in) but the 4GAMERS theatre system truly is an excellent buy that looks excellent for anyones PSP!
