Summary: Marcus
Comment: I have to agree with most of the comments on this site. Firstly, very poor recording success at about 50% for me - same poor success with both PC and DVD player. Secondly, and almost as frustrating in a how could they get it so wrong way, is the fact that you cannot read your own writing on the disc due to the use of the dark blue colour. Won't buy TDK again !

Summary: Bought 10 to start with not one works on my pc drive!!
Comment: I bought 10 TDK DVD-R's to start with only to find that not one of them worked on my PC drive, i spent alot of time trying to work out why, in the end i realised it was the disks when i read these reviews. So i recommend that nobody buys these disks because they are awful! I also hate the colour of the disc as you cannot see what you write!

Summary: TDK DVD-R x16 - Rubbish!
Comment: Until now I've been using Novatech's own make blank DVDs. This offer from Amazon was too good to miss so foolishly I bought them. They work fine in my TV DVD Recorder but not in my PC which has an NEC 3500 burner. So it's back to Novatech and I have an awful lot of coasters to play with

Summary: I've exclusively used these discs for 4 years...
Comment: I've used these discs exclusively for 4 years or so, since first owning a DVD recorder, originally on an early Sony model, then on several Panasonic machines. The discs have always worked perfectly, apart from latterly on the Sony, when the machine began identifying both clean part used and brand new discs as "dirty" and spat them out. Simultaneously the Panasonics were still (and still are) working perfectly with these discs.

As far as I am concerned I can thoroughly recommend them both for recording and longevity (to date). However, as noted by previous critics, the change to darker coloured writing surfaces (originally they were a more sensible pale blue) does sometimes lead to problems reading titles written even in black ink, especially in low light or reflected glare.
