Editorial Reviews:
A top-rated Scart-Scart cable. Available in 1m and 2m lengths.

Summary:
Not the cable I ordered
Comment:
When I ordered this it told me that the cable was new, which was a blatant lie as there was no pakaging apart from a bit of wire wrapped around it. Also the scart on the picture has moulded plugs, mine has cheapo screw on's and also it was supposed to be properly shieled and it obviously isn't because the lead is only about half the thickness of my Belkin Scart.
However though when I tested the cable the picture was OK and it does support RGB, that said though my belkin lead supplys noticably richer colours (Not by a huge amount though).
But if it was the cable specified it would probably have been as good as my Belkin Don't Order this Buy a belkin Pure AV Scart.

No problems here
Comment:
The cable arrived within 48 hours of ordering, and it worked fine straight out of the clear plastic bag it came in. Even allowing for the fairly hefty post and packing charge of £3.99, the total cost was just half of what I paid for a similar (though not gold-plated) SCART cable from my local electrical store. Based on my experience, I give this product five stars.

Only worth the penny charged
Comment:
A gold scart lead for one penny? You must be joking of course. But, going by the tech specs and the only review I thought it might be worth a try. After all, they can't advertise one product and sell another can they? Oh yes they can. I ordered from CDL Micro- perfectly efficient service as far as delivery was concerned, but the lead is worthy only of a Christmas cracker, being of poor quality and weighing in at a flimsy 150g rather than the stated 295g. There is no brand name or any other identifying mark (who would want to admit to making this?) and if I were Hama, I'd be concerned that their reputation is being rubbished. The annoying thing is, the company profits by bumping up the postage (more than double the stated rate) so there's little point sending back for a refund! It's a bit of a scam as regards 'trade descriptions' but I guess I got what I paid for. But then, if I'd known, I'd not have ordered it in the first place....hmmmm.

Worth the money
Comment:
Simply put it works, and works very well. You notice the cable is different right out of the box; it feels mich heavier than normal scart cables (even ones 5x as long). It is also well crafted, and slots in nicely to all scart sockets (had trouble with some others before). The picture quality (if using freeview) is noticeably improved, clear, and the cable does not act as an aerial itself. this means that you don't have any random ghosting effects that cheaper cables have caused in the past.
It's a good, quality cable that I recommend buying because I have not had trouble with it.
